CW Awards 2019: Consultancy of the Year shortlist announced
Thirteen companies have been shortlisted to be named the top Consultancy of the Year at the CW Awards 2019
The shortlisted nominees for the Consultancy of the Year category at the Construction Week Awards 2019 have been revealed.
The much-awaited Consultancy of the Year award will be handed to the company that can demonstrate the best record of delivering innovative, original and consistent expertise on projects over the past 12 months.
Home-grown Emirati specialist consultancy AESG has been shortlisted for championing construction technology including, commissioning in BIM, soft landings and digital handover documents, computational design, health and well-being, as well as its commitment to combatting climate change in 2019.
Design, engineering, and project management consultancy Atkins, which has consistently delivered projects on time and within budget with products that use artificial intelligence, machine learning, and automation layers to minimize errors and save time and maximize control in standard design processes, is also in the running for the Consultancy of the Year honour at the CW Awards 2019.
Winners of the Consultancy of the Year award in 2018, WSP, which has championed gender and diversity, and raised awareness around mental health, in addition to completing the Al Bustan Expressway, early delivery of works on Jumeriah Gate, exceeding client expectations on Il Primo Tower, and delivering the first cinema in Saudi Arabia for Majid Al Futtaim, is back on the shortlist this year
Khatib & Alami is another strong contender with its relationship-focused business culture, and its technology driven platforms than have improved projects, including Qiddiya Investment Company’s (QIC) giga-project, Mall of Saudi, and the King Fahd International Airport Cargo Village’s cargo apron support project.
Engineering consultancy Aurecon has also made the cut for its work on the CoEx Dubai Expo 2020 project; its support of Santiago Calatrava at the Dubai Creek Harbour Tower project; its help in the design of the House of Wisdom’s cantilevered ‘floating roof’, among others.
Other firms that have been shortlist for Construction Week’s Consultancy of the Year award include: Brewer Smith Brewer Group (BSBG), Cundall, DeSimone Consulting Engineers, KEO International Consultants, Linesight, Ramboll, and Turner & Townsend International Ltd.
In addition, Hoehler + alSalmy has also been shortlisted for the honour at the CW Awards 2019 to be held on 4 December at JW Marriott Marquis, Dubai.
