The Construction Week Oman Awards 2020 judging process has taken place to decide our 13 category winners for our first ever annual event.

A three-strong independent judging panel deliberated specifications of each category – looking at project deliveries, health and safety aspects, and cost efficiencies, as well as others across Oman.

Among the judging panel was Reed Smith’s head of Middle East and partner in the firm’s energy and natural resources practice, Sachin Kerur, who has more than 23 years’ experience in the Middle East’s construction industry.

Kerur specialises in advising government and the private sector on privatised and publicly procured infrastructure and development works.

According to Reed Smith’s website, he has advised on some of the most important airports, road and rail networks, power plants, commercial and residential developments, oil and gas facilities, water supply plants, hotels and education facilities throughout the Middle East.

Kerur took up his current role in July 2018, having previously served as the head of the Middle East region operations for law firm Pinsent Masons.

He was also listed among the most influential figures in the industry after being ranked in 79th place in Construction Week’s Power 100 list for 2020.

To watch the Construction Week Oman Awards, we will be streaming the awards live from 12pm across our Facebook social media platform, YouTube channel, website and event website.
