Oman-based subsidiary of Arab Engineering Bureau, Ibrahim Jaidah Architects & Engineers (IJAE), has scooped the Commercial Project of the Year honour at our first ever virtual Construction Week Oman Awards.

The firm scooped the award for its involvement in the Al Fardan Heights project, which is a nine floor mixed-use property of residences and executive offices in Muscat.

Our judges found that this project particularly stood out and was impressed with its concept design and its environmental practices.

IJAE has four offices around the world including Doha, Muscat, Salalah and Manila, which is headed up by group CEO & chief architect of the Arab Engineering Bureau, Ibrahim M. Jaidah.

The other shortlisted nominees for the Commercial Project of the Year accolade at the Construction Week Oman Awards 2020 comprised the City Centre Sohar by Al Tasnim Group; infrastructure facilities for Sumail Industrial Estate by Larsen & Toubro (Oman) LLC; and Salalah Liquefied Petroleum Gas Project by Petrofac.

The Construction Week Oman Awards 2020 were supported by Silver Sponsors – Tenable Fire Engineering Consultancy and KEO International Consultants; The Chartered Institute of Building as our Supporting Sponsor; ProTenders being the Intelligence Partner; and The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors as the Training Partner.

Following its category win, IJAE will now be shortlisted for the Commercial Project of the Year for the Construction Week Awards, which is taking place in Dubai from the 9 December 2020.
