CW Oman Awards 20: OMRAN bags Hospitality Project of the Year
The Omani government’s tourism development arm scooped the accolade for the W Muscat property
The Oman Government's tourism development arm Oman Tourism Development Company (OMRAN) has scooped the Hospitality Project of the Year at our first ever virtual Construction Week Oman Awards.
OMRAN was recognised for its work on the W Muscat hotel, which opened in June 2020 and provided more than 100 job opportunities for Omanis.
The judges believed that this hospitality project was a “breakthrough” within Oman’s hotel sector and certainly made them want to visit the property.
Located in the Oman’s Shatti Al Qurum area, W Muscat is a 279-key property comprising 251 rooms and 29 suites, in addition to amenities such as a ballroom, restaurants, a fitness centre, a spa, and meeting rooms.
The other shortlisted nominees for the Hospitality Project of the Year accolade at the Construction Week Oman Awards 2020 included the City Hotel Muscat by Larsen & Toubro (Oman) LLC.
The Construction Week Oman Awards 2020 were supported by Silver Sponsors – Tenable Fire Engineering Consultancy and KEO International Consultants; The Chartered Institute of Building as our Supporting Sponsor; ProTenders being the Intelligence Partner; and The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors as the Training Partner.
Following its category win, OMRAN will now be shortlisted for the Hospitality Project of the Year for the Construction Week Awards, which is taking place in Dubai from the 9 December 2020.
