CW Oman Awards 20: Douglas OHI scoops Sustainability Initiative of the Year
The Omani firm virtually picked up the award for its Sustainability Awareness, Education & Impact initiative
Oman-based construction firm Douglas OHI picked up its second award of the afternoon by winning the Sustainability Initiative of the Year at our first ever virtual Construction Week Oman Awards.
The organisation was recognised for its Sustainability Awareness, Education & Impact initiative.
One of the judges remarked that the Douglas OHI’s initiative is truly “changing attitudes and behaviour” towards the environment.
The other shortlisted nominee for the Sustainability Initiative of the Year accolade at the Construction Week Oman Awards 2020 also came from Al Tasnim Group for the City Centre Sohar LEED Platinum Certification.
The Construction Week Oman Awards 2020 were supported by Silver Sponsors – Tenable Fire Engineering Consultancy and KEO International Consultants; The Chartered Institute of Building as our Supporting Sponsor; ProTenders being the Intelligence Partner; and The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors as the Training Partner.
Following its category win, Douglas OHI will now be shortlisted for the Sustainability Initiative of the Year for the Construction Week Awards, which is taking place in Dubai from the 9 December 2020.
