Leaders UAE 2019 kicks off with top construction bosses in attendance

The UAE construction leaders will debate on topics such as cost management, finding and retaining top talent, payment challenges

The Leaders in Construction UAE Summi 2019 has kicked off.

Construction Week: Leaders in Construction UAE Summit 2019, which is being held at the Le Meridein Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre has kicked off, with the 10th iteration of the event is set to bring together construction sector stakeholders in the UAE to discuss the major challenges facing the sector, and the opportunities that lie ahead.

Since its inception, the event has firmly established itself as the premier high-level event for the UAE's construction sector. The event is an ideal platform for industry leaders to share their opinion on key topics such as cost management, finding and retaining top talent, the impact of changing market trends, and the effects of technological advancements.

Today’s conference will address some of the key issues concerning the UAE’s building environment Panellists will discuss an array of topics relevant to the UAE’s construction professionals, including ‘controlling costs when cash is king’; ‘potential for profit – identifying diversification’; ‘attracting accomplished leaders to drive expansion’; and ‘payments, insolvency and dispute resolution’.

This year saw the UAE’s Executive Council instructing government departments and state-owned companies to pay contractors within 30 days. With Expo 2020 Dubai nearly a year away, pavilions including, Germany, Finland, Belgium, Indonesia, and Thailand among others have began construction work on their pavilions.
