Russian President to speak at UAE energy ministry and Unido's Global Manufacturing and Industrialisation Summit
President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, will speak at the Plenary Session of the second Global Manufacturing and Industrialisation Summit (GMIS), a joint initiative by the UAE Ministry of Energy and Industry and the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (Unido), which will be held on 9-11 July, 2019 in Yekaterinburg, Russia.
President Putin’s speech at the Plenary Session of GMIS will highlight how the manufacturing sector can contribute to global growth, and shed light on Russia's use of Fourth Industrial Revolution, or 4IR technology.
GMIS's opening ceremony, preceding the Plenary Session, will be attended by Russian Minister of Industry and Trade, Denis Manturov, UAE Minister of Energy and Industry, Suhail Al Mazrouei, Unido director-general, Li Yong, and Mubadala's group chief executive officer, Khaldoon Al Mubarak.
Commenting on the event, Al Mazrouei said: "In line with the innovations brought by 4IR technologies, the UAE is driving the transformation of its manufacturing sector as it actively aims to prepare for a post-oil era.
"President Putin’s attendance at the summit emphasises the importance of this global collaborative platform that drives the adoption of innovation to regenerate global economies,” he added, according to Construction Week's sister title Refining and Petrochemicals Middle East.
