The 10th Rationalisation of Electricity and Water for GCC Countries workshop recently concluded in Salalah, with the two-day event, organised by Oman's Ministry of Oil and Gas and Nama Group, the holding company of Public Authority for Water and Electricity, held under the theme of 'Rationalisation for Sustainability'.

The workshop covered four main themes, including 'Using Modern Technologies in Rationalisation'; 'Experiences of Member States in Load Management and Strengthening the Role of Energy Audit Companies'; 'Legislation and Regulations for Electrical and Water Equipment'; and 'Modern Methods of Awareness'.

The workshop aimed at identifying the latest developments and challenges in the fields of efficiency, and the role of legislations and regulations in rationalising the consumption of electricity and water.

Participants at the workshop also discussed energy efficiency and practical applications to reduce consumption by presenting notable industry experiences of GCC member countries, Oman's state news agency, ONA, reported.
