STFA boasts a strong footprint not only in its domestic market, but also in the GCC. Having spent more than a decade and a half at the helm of the Turkey-headquartered contractor, chief executive officer Vedat Koca has helped to build a diverse array of Gulf projects, including Bidbid-Sur Road and Musannah Fishing Port in Oman, and Kuwait Small Boat Harbours. Last year, Al Habtoor-STFA Soil Group received a letter of intent relating to the contract for the enabling works at The Royal Atlantis Resort & Residences on Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah. The scope of the contract includes 922 tonnes of sheet piling works, 70,000m3 of excavation, and 2,282 building piles ranging from 24m to 32m in length.
