Rizwan Sajan

Chairman, Danube Group
James Wilson
Ahmed M Alhatti

Since the establishment of Danube Properties in 2014, Rizwan Sajan’s Danube Group has been amongst the most active developers in Dubai. At present, the company’s project portfolio includes Dreamz; Glitz Residence 1, 2, and 3; Starz; and the recently announced Glamz. During the past 12 months, Sajan’s team has also continued to strengthen its footprint within the Gulf region’s building materials segment, supplying projects such as The St Regis Dubai and Doha’s Hamad International Airport.

In 2015, Danube Group achieved revenues of approximately $1.4bn (AED5.13bn). The firm expects to grow at a rate of 6% to 10% during the current financial year. From a materials provision perspective, Sajan told Construction Week that he is targeting a selection of the region’s largest developments and events.

“The biggest opportunity will be supplying building materials to major projects in the region, including Expo 2020 and IMG Worlds of Adventure in the UAE, and the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar,” he explained.
