Edge’s founding partner and design director, Ivar Krasinski, has spent 11 years working in the Middle East. His architecture practice’s regional portfolio includes the UAE’s Renaissance tower, Dubai Autodrome, and Motor City Automall, all in Dubai’s Motor City master development.
Edge has also worked on Bahrain’s National Stadium and International Stadium, and Oman’s Salalah Resort.
The company’s project pipeline for the upcoming year includes Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah Economic City, and the UAE’s 1 JBR Tower and Dubai Edition Hotel. Krasinski told Construction Week that Dubai Creek Harbour would be one of Edge’s single biggest opportunities in the year to come. One of the company’s key training programmes planned for this year is aimed at furthering the scope for designs based on data collected through building information modelling (BIM) systems, Krasinski revealed.
Sustainability would also play a crucial role in Edge’s training modules for the year, he added.
