Donna Sultan is the CEO of KEO International Consultants and has held that title since 1991. Educated in the United States, raised in Europe and the US, her background includes strategic planning and management consulting. She has more than 35 years of professional experience in the Middle East.
Sultan joined KEO as a director when the firm had 300 employees, a mid-size regional consultancy practice with annual fees of about $8 million. In 1991, as the company recovered from the Gulf War, with staff of only 26, she was appointed CEO and set about re-launching KEO to be one of the finest and strongest global consultancy firms.
She has been instrumental, transforming KEO into a highly visible and respected international consultancy firm. Today, it has 12 offices and more than 2,300 employees actively involved in the design and management of some of the most prestigious building and civil projects in the MENA, Asia and North African regions.
From the late 1990s KEO increased its international presence, opening offices in many of the GCC capitals and expanding into new markets including Western and Central Asia, North Africa, Malaysia and Europe.
The reputation of the firm grew and its international stature increased as it took on larger and high-profile signature projects. KEO’s annual revenue for the last four years including 2012 has consistently topped $200 million per annum.
