In this latest episode, host Julianne Tolentino sat down with Dr Sreejith Balasubramanian, an Associate Professor and Business School Chair at the Office of Research at Middlesex University Dubai to dive deeper into the current state of the construction supply chain in the Middle East.
The episode elaborates not only on the unconventional challenges faced by stakeholders in the industry, but also on how the supply chain can promote sustainable practices in the region.
Who is Dr Sreejith?
Dr Sreejith Balasubramanian is part of a core team currently working on a funded $200,000 (approx.) flagship project from the Thailand Research Foundation on ‘Net Zero Emission Execution and Roadmap and Tools’ for the Thai Logistics Sector.
His main research areas are green supply chain management Industry 4.0 adoption in the construction sector. His other areas of expertise include operations management, disruptive technologies, sustainability, and knowledge management. He has been a consultant for several public and private sector entities and intergovernmental organisations including Bridgestone, Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce, and Mekong Institute.
He has also received project funding from global bodies such as the International Organization for Migration (IOM), and Mekong – Korea Cooperation Fund (MKCF), and UN Office for South-South Cooperation (UNOSSC).
Dr Sreejith has over 50 publications in leading academic and practitioner-focused journals. Before moving to academia, Sreejith had several years of industry experience in the telecom sector in senior roles as project consultant and project manager.
