Raimondi Cranes hires Cristian Badin ahead of product expansion
Badin named sales director as Italian manufacturer readies to launch three new machines
Cristian Badin has been named sales director of Italy-based Raimondi Cranes, with the business in the midst of a recruitment push as it prepares to unveil three next-gen machines.
Badin will report directly to Mauro Masetti, chief commercial officer of Raimondi Cranes, which was acquired by HRH Prince Khaled bin Alwaleed bin Talal’s company KBW Investments in 2014.
Boasting more than a decade of commercial experience in the tower crane sector, Badin will be responsible for securing new distribution contracts and clients for Raimondi Cranes.
Badin’s boss, Masetti, said the upcoming luffer cranes would be pushed in the Middle East, as well as Canada, South Korea, and the UK, while its new topless tower will target the US and Germany.
Raimondi Cranes is also looking for “official agents” in Belgium, Czech Republic, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, and Scandinavia, Masetti revealed.
Badin said Raimondi’s reputation for “reliability” factored in his decision to join the firm, a move he described as the “instinctive evolution” of his career.
He added: “The willingness to improve and expand while maintaining focus on the customer base is a top company priority, and this has been a key factor for me in my decision to join Raimondi. I believe I can contribute to the board’s ambitious plans and I look forward to working closely with Masetti to realise his commercial aims.”
Masetti credited the company’s “exceptional sales results” for allowing Raimondi to ramp up recruitment.
In February 2018, Raimondi Cranes hired Patrick Gigante as commercial manager for North America and the Caribbean. Wael Hasan joined as Dubai-based commercial manager for the Middle East in October 2017.
