DWF hires energy, dispute experts to chart Middle East expansion
Slava Kiryushin becomes global head of energy, and Abdalla Eisa will join as senior associate for the dispute resolution practice
UK law firm DWF has made two senior appointments to its Dubai-based division – naming Slava Kiryushin as partner and global head of energy and Abdalla Eisa (pictured) as senior associate for the dispute resolution practice – in line with its growth plans for the Middle East.
Kiryushin will be responsible for growing the UK firm’s energy practice and focusing on DWF’s oil and gas sector work across the world.
He has also worked with international oil companies and major contractors for oil and gas projects in Iraq and Saudi Arabia.
Eisa has experience across a number of sectors and areas of UAE law, including real estate, employment, and civil, criminal, and commercial disputes.
Commenting on the appointments, DWF’s managing partner for the Middle East, Shiraz Sethi, said: “The energy sector is a new market for our office and Slava's wealth of experience, and strong track record will be instrumental in developing our offering to wide range of clients in the Middle East.
"Abdalla's appointment further bolsters our robust litigation practice and brings additional Arabic capabilities to support our local clients.”
