Hassan has more than 30 years of experience and was previously head of the Middle East for Pinsent Masons
Law firm Taylor Wessing has appointed Osama Hassan as the managing partner of its Dubai office and the Head of the Middle East region.
Osama Hassan has practised for more than 30 years and was previously head of the Middle East group and the corporate practice in the region for Pinsent Masons.
Hassan, who returns to the Taylor Wessing in December 2019, earlier served as Head of Corporate for the firm’s Dubai office until 2011. He will lead new growth opportunities.
Welcoming Hassan to the firm, current managing partner of the Dubai office, Jerry Parks said: “I am delighted to welcome back to Taylor Wessing my friend and colleague Osama Hassan. Osama will join us as the Managing Partner of the Dubai office and head of the Middle East region and will also lead the corporate team.”
Parks added: “He brings a wealth of local and regional experience as well as an impressive client following, built up over the last 30 years in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. I very much look forward to working with him again and taking the Taylor Wessing Middle East offering to a new level.’’
Commenting on the appointment, UK managing partner, Shane Gleghorn, said: “Osama is widely recognised in the UAE market. We have a long-established platform in Dubai and our international client base has evolved significantly in TMC and private wealth. These are areas that we are known for being strong in and Osama's experience across family owned businesses and technology in the region are hard to compete with.”
Hassan brings with him Aarshi Mahajan, who joins the firm as a paralegal.
