Hitches & Glitches appoints Kelvin Varghese as director
Varghese will direct a 800-member team of FM, MEP, and HVAC specialists in his recently-appointed role
Varghese holds a total of 15 years of experience in the facilities management industry, and has spent the past four years managing all elements of facilities management (FM), mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) and business development for Farnek Group.
Commenting on Varghese’s recent appointment and the significance of his role, owing to the ongoing situation, Farnek Group’s chief executive officer, Markus Oberlin, said: “With schools closed, people working from home and many self-isolating, it is imperative that home environments stay well maintained, clean and safe.
He added: "Varghese’s ability to lead large teams of multidisciplined FM professionals will be invaluable.”
In his new role, Varghese will direct a 800-member team of FM, MEP, as well as heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) specialists who cover all forms of home maintenance and repairs.
The team will be responsible for a range of services from electrical and plumbing works, to water tank cleaning, air conditioning and swimming pool maintenance, smart home product repairs and updates, gardening, cleaning and general handyman jobs, plumbing services, and more.
Prior to his appointment as H&G’s director, Varghese has held past roles at UAE-based contracting company BK Gulf as well as Dubai-based integrated facilities management company Imdaad, with experience across GCC and India markets.
In addition, Varghese has directed operations at several marquee projects including City Walk, Dubai Airports and more recently Burj Khalifa.
Speaking about the current role, Varghese, said: “In recent years we have established H&G as a tech-led, innovative company – this is an area we will focus on increasingly.”
