Global law firm Clyde & Co has confirmed the appointment of Beau McLaren as partner in its Global Projects & Construction practice.
Based in Clyde & Co’s Dubai office, McLaren has 23 years of experience of law experience and joins the business from HFW where he played a key part in building the firm’s Construction and Construction Disputes team in the Middle East.
Clyde & Co’s partner and head of Projects & Construction for the Middle East, Michael Grose, said McLaren's strong regional experience and seniority in the market will be a “key addition” to the firm.
McLaren will advise parties at every level of the construction supply chain, from procurement through to contract management, having advised on a range of construction projects and commercial disputes across the GCC and further afield.
His experiences includes transport, infrastructure, power and healthcare projects, as well as more generic building and construction projects.
McLaren also sits as an arbitrator and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a ranked Leading Individual in Chambers & Partners.
Commenting on his appointment, McLaren said Clyde & Co has one of the most established construction and disputes teams in the Middle East and he was excited to be joining the team.
“The firm's extensive offering and reputation provides an exceptional platform to leverage new opportunities in regional markets and complement the firm's practice across sectors,” said McLaren.
