An employee of Bee’ah has cemented his commitment to sustainability.
Known simply as Sadiq, he worked from morning to night to clean up Sharjah’s streets and raise awareness of the need to take environmental action.
The tremendous effort was carried out as part of the UAE Environment Day.
Marwan Al Shamsi, director of waste collection, Bee’ah, told Construction Week: “On the occasion of UAE environment day, we would like to wish everyone a great start towards contributing to the environment. We would like to reiterate, never to under estimate the power of initiative, every step counts, so a small gesture every day from every single person would eventually ensure a big outcome. At Bee’ah we are leading the change towards zero waste to landfill in Sharjah by 2015.”
