Addleshaw Goddard has appointed Denis Moriarty to the position of managing associate.

The move comes as part of the legal firm’s ongoing efforts to expand its Dubai construction litigation practice.

Moriarty, who has been based in Dubai for the last four years, joins Addleshaw Goddard from Herbert Smith Freehills.

He boasts extensive experience in construction-related arbitration, having acted for a broad range of contractors, sub-contractors, developers, and designers in numerous international markets.

Moriarty has also been involved with several high-value arbitrations under the auspices of DIAC, ICC< and LCIA arbitral institutions.

Andrew Greaves, head of the GCC region at Addleshaw Goddard, commented: “This is an important appointment, which brings another senior legal advisor into the team, further increasing our capacity and market reach.

“Denis has extensive experience in construction litigation and international arbitration, and will be a valuable asset to the team,” he added.

Since establishing a GCC presence in 2012, Addleshaw Goddard has increased its regional team from three to 10 people.

Following Moriarty’s appointment, the firm’s GCC cohort includes two legal directors, one managing associate, and five associates.
