Bahrain’s Alba launches customised training plan for employees

Initiative led by acting CEO Ali Al Baqali aims to create special training plans for each job and employee in the company

Aluminium Bahrain (Alba) has launched a customised Master Training Plan that aims to meet the needs of its employees, in line with Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030.

The training will be delivered by Alba’s faculty, department specialists, and external vendors and consultants, and is available to both management and non-management employees.

Commenting on leading the training programme, acting chief executive officer of Alba, Ali Al Baqali, said: “We are not only in the business to make money, but also in the people’s business; and Alba’s future lies in investing in its people.”

The company, which boasts a Bahrainisation rate of more than 83%, aims to cement its position as a leading employer in the kingdom, having completed 1.7m hours of training activities for its Line 6 Expansion Project.
