More than 140 employees complete Alba's training programme

The world’s largest aluminium smelter outside of China, Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), has revealed that more than 140 employees have completed their training programme in line with the company’s Master Training Plan.

The employees were identified for internal promotions based on their skills matrix and Training and Development Programme (TDP), as well as their initiatives at work, and their potential for growth.

Congratulating the employees upon completion of their training programme, Alba’s acting chief executive officer Ali Al Baqali said: “While we continue to grow as the world’s largest aluminium smelter ex-China, we believe that our employees must evolve to fulfil Alba’s aspirations. Our Master Training Plan, which is in line with the Kingdom’s of Bahrain Economic Vision 2030, aims to boost Bahrainisation across all levels within the company.”

The firm launched the master training plan in October 2019 with the aim of creating customised training for every job and employee within the firm, according to the state-run Bahrain News Agency.
