2020 CW Power 100: Douglas OHI's Aaron Hennessey claims 87th rank
The construction company strongly supports HSE awareness and has conducted several campaigns for its employees
A two-time winner at the Construction Week Oman Awards 2019 for its commendable CSR and HSE initiatives, Douglas OHI's general manager, Aaron Hennessey has entered the Construction Week Power 100 list for 2020.
The Oman-based construction company is a strong proponent of health and safety awareness and has conducted several campaigns for its employees covering topics such as plant and equipment safety; fire extinguishing training; safe lifting operations; excavation and soil backfilling safety; fire drills; and water conservation. The campaigns also include non-technical pertinent topics such as support service for autistic children; women empowerment; and on an increasingly relevant note, the company has been rolling out series of COVID-19 campaigns for its employees.
Douglas OHI recently completed the successful handover of the SS-492 Building on the Duqm Refinery Project EPC1, dust free.
The company was awarded two contracts worth $7bn (OMR2.69bn) for EPC and civil works on Duqm Refinery in 2019 from Tecnicas Reuindas and Daewoo (TRD). The company recently recorded 70 million safe man-hours without LTI on the Liwa Plastics Industries Complex (LPIC) Project in Oman.
