2020 CW Power 100: B&W's Jean Pierre Hamel secures 91st rank
Hamel won the Project Manager of the Year honour at the Construction Week Awards 2019
Black & White Engineering (B&W) is a leading MEP design consultancy which boasts extensive experience in producing sustainable and commercially feasible design. The consultancy, which is led by Jean Pierre Hamel as its associate director, has a global portfolio that spans across Europe, Asia and the Middle East regions with its current projects in Azerbaijan, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Oman, and India.
Hamel won the Project Manager of the Year honour at the Construction Week Awards 2019, on account of his “experience and cost-consciousness.” He has beyond 24 years of experience in managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects. B&W’s Middle East projects include Dubai Festival City Mall; Marina Gate in Dubai Marina; Yas Viceroy Hotel in Abu Dhabi; and Al Jalila Research Building in Dubai Healthcare City.
Echoing a people-centric policy in its work approach, B&W stated that it invested nearly 3% of revenue on staff education and training last year, Construction Week’s sister title MEP Middle East reported. Graciously crediting his team for his Construction Week Award at the time of the win, Hamel told Construction Week: “The team is our biggest strength and wealth”
