Irish recycling firm Kiverco wins $3.7m Dulsco contract
Designer, engineer, and builder of recycling plants to work with UAE waste management firm as part of Invest NI collaboration
Dungannon, Ireland-based Kiverco, known for designing, engineering, and building recycling plants, has entered a $3.7m (AED13.5m) contract with UAE-based waste management company Dulsco, as part of a collaboration with Invest Northern Ireland (Invest NI), known for supporting the expansion of Irish businesses in new global markets.
Commenting on the agreement, Kiverco’s general manager, Paul Carolan, said: “The recycling industry is changing dramatically, driven largely by the requirement for better purity levels in output.
"We have been building recycling plants for over 25 years and our product design has had to constantly evolve with changes in the marketplace.”
Carolan said Invest NI’s “support has been invaluable in helping us win this new business”, adding that the advisory had also worked with Kiverco to grow its business in the Polish market.
Invest NI’s executive director of international business, Steve Harper, said in a statement: “Our teams both here and in UAE have supported Kiverco to explore new markets and ultimately help secure this new business in UAE.
“Our UAE team met with Dulsco, a major UAE recycling operator, a couple of years ago and recognised the potential for a trade deal for an Invest NI company. We organised an inward visit to Northern Ireland to showcase the strengths of our recycling sector and as part of this made introductions to Kiverco."
