Sewa, SSC launch efficiency plan for Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club
Electricity and water consumption-rationalisation to include replacement of sanitary ware at SERC stables, mosque
Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority (Sewa) and Sharjah Sports Council (SSC) have formed a plan to develop and raise the efficiency of Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club (SERC) in the fields of energy and water through the installation of water consumption-rationalisation tools, awareness-raising and education campaigns, and the replacement of sanitaryware at SERC’s administration building, mosque, and stables.
Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, chairman of SSC, said the SERC campaign was in line with directives issued by HH Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and follow up by HH Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of Sharjah Executive Council.
Sewa chairman, Rashid Al Leem, said the authority was keen to promote the optimal use of energy and water through its programmes.
Al Leem added that Sewa would cooperate with local clubs and encourage initiatives aimed at the rationalisation of electricity and water consumption in Sharjah, according to a report by UAE state news agency, Wam.
