Kuwait’s ambassador to Tunisia, Ali Al-Dhafiri, has inaugurated schools in Tunisia’s inner provinces of Qairawan, Mahdia, and Siliana, which have been rebuilt with Kuwaiti funding as part of a project that included restoration and maintenance of the premises and equipping buildings with up-to-date technology systems to positively affect Tunisia’s education sector.

Al-Dhafiri, speaking with Kuwait’s state news agency Kuna, stated that the first phase of the project was funded by the Foreign Assistance Committee in the Kuwaiti Cabinet.

Phase 1 was carried out in coordination with the Tunisian Ministry of Education, with other Kuwaiti donors contributing to the financing of the second phase.

Al-Dhafiri added that he considered the project a confirmation of Kuwait’s keenness to contribute to the development of Tunisia.
