Dubai's Emrill awards fleet management contract to US’s Hertz
Dubai FM company to use Actitrack telematics platform to collect data remotely from its fleet of 127 vehicles
Dubai-based facilities management (FM) company Emrill Services has awarded a fleet outsourcing contract to American fleet management company Hertz to manage its 127 vehicles, with Hertz also set to provide vehicles for lease in addition to delivering maintenance and driving staff for Emrill.
Emrill will use tracking platform Actitrack, developed by telematics service provider Location Solutions, as part of the contract.
GPS trackers and cameras have been installed in several vehicles – some of which are already active on Dubai roads – to collect data remotely.
According to Emrill, which previously managed its fleet in-house, Hertz was picked for the contract due to its track record of providing pick-and-drop services, and focus on health and safety.
Emrill and Hertz assessed the FM company's fleet schedule for an 18-month period prior to confirming the contract.
Commenting on the contract award, commercial director at Emrill, Suzie Razmjou, said: “As a result of partnering with Hertz for our fleet management requirements, we are better positioned to focus on our core offering: creating great places for people to work, live, and visit.”
