Huntsman's Demilec has opened in Jafza, Dubai.

Demilec Inc, a North American subsidiary of the US's Huntsman Corporation and manufacturer of open- and closed-cell spray polyurethane foam (SPF) insulation and coatings, has launched a range of products for the Middle East market, as well as opened of its spray foam technical application and training centre in Dubai's Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza).

The Demilec technical application and training center— which will serve as the regional base for Demilec, according to a company statement — is located within Huntsman’s polyurethanes systems offices in Dubai, which opened earlier this year.

Demilec has introduced spray foam insulation products such as Heatlok HFO Pro, Heatlok XT, Sealection 500, and Agribalance in the region.

Commenting on the launch, Demilec's president, Simon Baker, said: “Having launched in Europe earlier this year, we are excited to take this next step in expanding our global footprint to better serve customers in the Middle East.

“The combination of Huntsman’s new systems house with Demilec’s new technology and training center will enable Demilec to bring the same premium support and service we offer in North America to our customers in the Middle East.”
