Kuwait reaffirms water preservation goals at event in New Delhi, India
Kuwait's Ministry of Electricity and Water reiterates country's water management goals under New Kuwait 2035 Vision
Assistant Undersecretary for Water Projects at Kuwait's Ministry of Electricity and Water (Mew), Humoud Al-Roudhan, said at the sixth annual India Water Week held in New Delhi that the Arab country was keen to resolve issues related to water conservation and sustainability, adding that enhanced water management was a key part of the New Kuwait 2035 Vision economic diversification mandate.
The event, organised by India's Ministry of Water Resources, River Development, and Ganga Rejuvenation, in cooperation with the EU and Japan, brought together experts from organisations, institutions, and research institutes from around the world, specialising in the water resources, agriculture, and energy management.
Al-Roudhan told Kuwait’s state news agency, Kuna, that the country was continuously seeking to improve and develop water strategies and plans within the framework of New Kuwait 2035 Vision, adding that Kuwait's projects were specifically focused on water preservation.
Kuwait’s Ambassador to India, Jassim Al-Najem, added that the Kuwaiti leadership attaches great importance to water and energy within the national development plan.
