VIDEO: Sheikh Saif briefed on smart school buses in Abu Dhabi

HH Lt Gen Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and UAE Minister of Interior, visited Al Ghazali School in Abu Dhabi with Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, UAE Minister of Education, where he was briefed about the general safety and protection standards applied to school buses, especially smart vehicles that are equipped with digital surveillance cameras, fire safety systems, and digital control modules.

These buses feature external and internal digital surveillance cameras, driver displays, motion sensors, card readers, temperature and humidity meters, digital control modules, network video recorders, and vehicle tracking systems (GPS).

Also fitted into the buses are automatic fire suppression systems, manual fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, arm stands, first aid boxes, and emergency exits.

UAE state news agency, Wam, reported that the General Directorate of Civil Defence Abu Dhabi had implemented improvements in line with the directives of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.
