IFS unveils platform to integrate AI, IoT, AR/MR technologies
Newly launched architecture will allow companies to integrate the technologies and improve business operations
Sweden-headquartered project management software company IFS has unveiled its architecture system – due to be available in 2020 – that will be home to its entire portfolio, including manufacturing, project management, and service systems, and will allow customers to integrate technologies such as internet of things (IoT), augmented- and mixed-reality (AR/MR), artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning to optimise, automate, and predict their business operations.
The architecture – which aims to ensure speed, elasticity, and choice – will provide data management and readiness that will allow customers to plug-and-play with technologies such as AI, ML, and robotic process automation (RPA) with any platform within the IFS offering.
The architecture, launched at IFS World Conference 2019 in Boston, also provides customers greater visibility, predictability, control, and flexibility in planning their own business development and adopting new capabilities from the company.
Commenting on the launch, chief product officer at IFS, Christian Pederse, said: “With this announcement, we are demonstrating that we are delivering on the promise of a core that has choice quite literally built into it, enabling our customers to benefit faster and easier for new and emerging technologies in context of their business needs and opportunities.”
