MESE launches UAE's first operational Lidar drone
Drone equipped with a laser head captures georeferenced data with high accuracy, eliminating pixel and GSD challenges
UAE-based geospatial solutions provider Middle East Survey Engineering (MESE) – which provides mapping, surveying, marine, and engineering services to government authorities and private entities in the GCC and Mena regions – has launched the first Lidar-based unmanned aerial system (UAS) in the UAE at the Adipec 2019 event being held on 11-14 November, 2019, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (Adnec).
According to the company, the drone equipped with a a laser head (UAS with Lidar) utilises both fixed wing and multirotor capacities to capture georeferenced data with high accuracy, eliminating pixel and GSD challenges with a mapping corridor of 400m.
The UAS with Lidar also provides a dense and accurate point cloud for asset extraction.
MESE is also showing its hydrography and bathymetric system, mobile mapping, and Lidar products at its stand number 15452 in Hall 15 of Adnec, at the Adipec 2019 event.
