Sharjah Municipality reviews US wastewater treatment technology
Delegation explores the latest technology and best practices in the fields of wastewater treatment, recycling, and sanitation
A delegation from the Sharjah Municipality headed by the assistant director-general of the Agriculture and Environment Sector, Hassan Al Tafaq, reviewed the global best practices and the latest methods and technologies used in wastewater treatment in the US during a visit to Chicago.
According to state news agency, Wam, the delegation attended the Energy and Water Conference, which is organised every year to showcase the latest developments in the fields of water and energy, wastewater treatment, and recycling.
The delegation also explored innovations in equipment that are used in municipal work, including sanitation and waste.
Commenting on the US visit, Al Tafaq emphasised that the municipality is keen on using best practices in treating wastewater, using stations with high efficiency, and applying the latest equipment and know-how in the municipality’s working mechanisms.
