EGA adopts safety measures for staff, contractors to curb COVID-19

Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) has implemented safety measures to safeguard the health of its staff and contractors to curb the spread of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Speaking about the precautionary steps the company has adopted for its employees, chief executive officer of EGA, Abdulnasser Bin Kalban, said: “Nothing is more important to EGA during this crisis than the health and safety of our people.”

“We have put in place many measures to protect our staff and contractors.”

Kalban added: “During this crisis, companies operating in vital industries have a special responsibility to continue operations safely, providing products and services on which the economies, public health and financial security rely.”

He said that many EGA staff have been working from home, while the ones who are required to perform their duties on sites are being protected by careful precautions.

EGA has also stepped up deep cleaning and sterilisation of its buses, offices, residential, and communal areas.
