Bee'ah develops disinfection pods to combat COVID-19
The solution can be used across entrances of facilities, complexes, buildings or high-risk areas
UAE-based waste management company Bee'ah has developed disinfection pods for businesses to safeguard their public health and to mitigate the impact of the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak.
The solution can be used across entrances of facilities, complexes, buildings or high-risk areas; the disinfection will be performed within 20 seconds.
The pod sprays a mist of diluted disinfectant on anyone who walks through it, serving as a full body sanitiser.
The disinfection pods offer the facility to monitor each person's body temperature through the installation of a thermal scanning system at the entrance. The disinfectants are non-toxic and compliant with regional and international guidelines for sterilisation.
Speaking about the recently-launched service, group chief executive officer of Bee'ah, Khaled Al Huraimel, said: "Bee’ah is doing everything we can to prevent, limit and contain the spread of COVID-19. Through our new disinfection pods, we are going one step further by providing innovative solutions that protect the health and safety of our employees, and helping other businesses safeguard their own workforce.”
Lauding the efforts of the frontline workers combatting the global pandemic, Al Huraimel stated that it is crucial to consider new forms of protection for them as they continue to serve the society.
Previously, Bee'ah along with Sharjah Municipality and the Sharjah Police, led a city-wide disinfection drive, as part of its efforts to curb the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak.
The disinfection operations covered the city's streets, walkways, and other areas.
