ION deploys electric vehicles to support Sharjah Medical District
The vehicles will transport 24/7 on-call doctors for urgent home visits as well as free-of-charge COVID-19 testing
ION, which is a sustainable transport company, formed as a joint venture between Bee’ah and CE-Creates, the business incubation platform of Crescent Enterprises, has deployed and repurposed its fleet of electric vehicles to support Sharjah Medical District in the battle against COVID-19.
The electric vehicles will be used to transport Sharjah Medical District's 24/7 on-call doctors for urgent home visits as well as free-of-charge COVID-19 testing.
The support operations have been carried out in compliance with the prescribed health and safety regulations.
The vehicles are disinfected before and after each journey, and the drivers have been trained on safety protocols.
Previously, Bee'ah along with Sharjah Municipality and the Sharjah Police, led a city-wide disinfection drive, as part of its efforts to curb the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak. In addition, the company recently developed disinfection pods for businesses to safeguard their public health.
