RTA deploys virtual assistant, covers 152 primary services
The automated system has processed "23,873 requests from its inception in 2018 until Q2 2020"
Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has fully automated all administrative services available to employees comprising of 152 main services and 127 subsidiary services.
It also employed AI technology to launch a virtual assistant to respond to the needs and inquiries of employees in Arabic and English. This step is part of RTA’s Digitisation Plan, which contributes to Dubai Paperless Strategy 2021 and supports the organisation and region's efforts of tackling COVID-19.
Speaking about the move, director of administrative services, corporate administrative support services sector, RTA, Nabeel Al Ali, said: “RTA has accomplished the automation of the entire administrative services to employees which include 152 main services and 127 subsidiary services. The automated system has processed 23,873 requests from 2018 until Q2 2020. The system is available on RTA’s Intranet internal page and MyRTA app as well.
The assistant has 132 programmed answers to potential questions from employees in various fields."
Al Ali further highlighted RTA's efforts to support the Dubai government's paperless strategy, adding that it constantly backs up its technological infrastructure to limit the use of paper transactions.
"The technology will also support the continuity of business during emergencies, such as the circumstances witnessed during the outbreak of the pandemic," he concluded.
