VIDEO: Saudi national risks life to extinguish petrol station fire
Thamer Fayez Al Mazrouki was honoured by Yasref's CEO, Mohammad Nagash, for ensuring public safety
A fire that broke out after a car crashed into a petrol station in Saudi Arabia's Yanbu port city was quickly extinguished by a Saudi citizen working as an attendant at the facility, later identified as Thamer Fayez Al Mazrouki, a viral video shows.
Al Mazrouki has been praised for his quick thinking that saved lives and helped avoid a disaster, despite risking his own safety.
A CCTV recording of the episode, uploaded on YouTube, shows Al Mazrouki working with onlookers to extinguish the blaze at the fire station.

Chairman and chief executive officer of Yanbu Aramco Sinopec Refining Company (Yasref), Mohammad Nagash, honoured Al Mazrouki with a certificate of appreciation for his heroics, which he said “reflected the company’s values that above all, protected the public’s safety”.
