Certification company Intertek has awarded two ISO certifications for quality and environmental management systems to French hotelier Accor Hotels’ largest Mercure property in the world, the Mercure Hotel Suites and Apartments on Dubai's Sheikh Zayed Road, which has 1,015 keys.

The ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 certifications — obtained after the provider’s completion of a series of audits — were granted to Mercure Hotel Suites and Apartments' general manager, Abdul Nasser T Thodi, by Intertek Group’s chief executive officer, André Lacroix.

Commenting on the development, Thodi said: “This recognition means a lot to our organisation’s relentless quest for quality and sustainability initiatives to be embedded across our hotel’s operations, in this highly competitive market.”
