Bahrain wants GCC social media influencers to promote BTEA events
Bahrain Tourism and Exhibition Authority wants influencers to promote its events, festivals, and other activities
In a show of real estate developers and operators acknowledging the growing role of digital marketing and branding, Bahrain is seeking social media influencers in the GCC to promote festivals and events held by Bahrain Tourism and Exhibition Authority (BTEA).
BTEA plans to develop, manage, and implement a marketing strategy “through the use of GCC social media influencers”.
These influencers must “target international tourists”, with plans in place to cover their costs for developing social media exposure through the promotion of Bahrain’s events, festivals, and other activities.
The tender closes on 18 August, 2019, and BTEA will open bids on 19 August.
A fee of $133 (BHD50) must be paid for the tender, which must be accompanied by a three-month initial bond worth $2,653 (BHD1,000).
To participate in the tender, purchase its documents online through Bahrain Tender Board’s e-portal, https://e-tendering.tenderboard.gov.bh.
Instagram is among the most popular social media channel for 'influencers', a colloquial term for individuals with the power to affect purchase decisions due to their authority on a subject matter, or their relationship with a typically wide audience base.
