Dubai Land Department (DLD) and real estate listings website Property Finder have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to launch what they have described as the first sales and rental price index in Dubai, named Mo’asher, with its first edition to launch in Q3 2019.

The index will be used to provide consumers with updated property sales and rental price insights in Dubai.

DLD will provide data for Mo’asher on a monthly basis, which will then be coupled with Property Finder’s asking-price data and analysis from its real estate data platform, Data Finder.

The MoU was signed by DLD’s director general, HE Sultan Butti bin Mejren, and Property Finder's chief executive officer, Michael Lahyani.

Commenting on the plan, Mejren said: “Mo'asher is the official real estate index for Dubai that provides consumers with better insights to help them when taking property buying and renting decisions.”
