Passport offices at King Abdulaziz Int'l Airport in Jeddah inspected
Maj Gen Suleiman bin Abdulaziz Al-Yahya also inspects area for pilgrims part of Makkah Road Initiative
Director General of Passports, Maj Gen Suleiman bin Abdulaziz Al-Yahya, inspected the progress of the passports lounges at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, and the lounge dedicated for pilgrims that are part of the Makkah Road Initiative, ahead of Hajj 2019.
Al-Yahya urged all employees of the passports department to ensure the smooth implementaton of the programme, according to a report by Saudi Arabia's news agency, SPA.
More than 225,000 Hajj pilgrims from Malaysia, Indonesia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Tunisia will receive immigration pre-clearance at their embarkation airports in 2019 as part of an initiative rolled out by Saudi Arabia’s Guests of Allah service programme, which the steering committee of Makkah Road Initiative is overseeing.
Friday, 2 August, 2019, was the first day of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah 1440 Hijri, which means Eid Al-Adha will fall on Sunday, 11 August, 2019, the Saudi Supreme Court announced.
