DHA director-general inspects Expo 2020 Dubai Emergency Centre

Humaid Al Qutami revealed Dubai Health Authority would link its medical centres with smart systems to ensure preparedness

Dubai Health Authority's (DHA) director-general, Humaid Al Qutami, visited Expo 2020 Dubai's Emergency Centre, which will be operated by DHA when the next World Expo opens its doors on 20 October, 2020. 

During his visit, Al Qutami said that hosting an event of this magnitude was a testimony of the capabilities of the UAE, adding that DHA would work to provide a safe and healthy environment before, during, and after the expo.

To do this, Al Qutami explained, DHA has formed a higher committee comprising of its organisational leaders and specialists that are ensuring the preparedness of the emergency centres.

DHA was also revealed to have a strategy in place as part of which all its medical networks would be interconnected with smart systems.

Al Qutami said DHA had started implementing advanced training programmes to strengthen the capabilities of its medical teams and technical support staff to prepare for and promptly respond to any emergency, according to UAE state news agency, Wam.
