The Tourism Development and Investment Company (TDIC) is calling for Waste Management contractors to start putting in bids for the Saadiyat island Project in Abu Dhabi.

The development which is located just off the coast of Abu Dhabi Island will comprise of mixed tourist attractions including beaches, golf courses, museums, exhibition centres, retail outlets, hotels and residential properties.

fmME recently reported on Thiess Middle East winning the contract to provide some integrated facilities management services on the island including inspection and maintenance.

Companies and contractors who have worked on projects of a similar size and complexity and that are registered waste services providers within the UAE are being invited to apply to undertake the project, which will involve management of the island’s construction and operational waste.
