The Al-Futtaim Auto & Machinery Company (FAMCO) has announced its participation at the upcoming Materials Handling Middle East 2015 exhibition.
The UAE-based industrial equipment distributor will showcase its latest energy efficient and cost-savings products in warehousing, storage and materials handling.
In the spotlight will be the firm’s Linde H30D Forklift, which boasts 30% energy savings over other industry models, as well as energy efficiency of up to 90%. Additionally, the unit maintains a 50% reduction in tyre wear and requires oil change only after 6,000 hours of operation.
David Dronfield, regional GM for Storage Handling Solutions at FAMCO shared: “We’ll also highlight importance of warehouse operational safety with our unique ‘Linde Safety Pilot’ which guides forklift operators from overloading and exceeding the capabilities of their vehicles.
“As a regional operation, FAMCO’s market stretches across the GCC, MENA and East Africa and our stand at Materials Handling Middle East will welcome visitors from across the region, providing a platform to enable open discussions pertinent to each market,” added Dronfield.
As the regional distributor for Dexion Storage Solutions, FAMCO will also be showcasing a range of warehouse management systems. These include include ‘goods-to-man’ automated picking functionality, as well as storage services ideally suited for the region’s retail and wholesale distribution centres.
Running from 14 – 16 September at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, Materials Handling Middle East 2015 will feature 150 brands from 21 countries, of which 30 are UAE-based.
Now in its 8th edition, the three-day event will this year play host to the Forklift Operator of the Year, an award that judges operators on their ability to safety and effectively transport up to three tonnes of electric forklift machinery in narrow spaces.
