India-based Genesys International has secured a contract valued at 670 million Indian rupees ($8.05 million) from Saudi-listed Al Moammar Information Systems (MIS). The contract is set to bolster advanced national mapping services in Saudi Arabia, marking a significant development in the nation’s construction and infrastructure sector.
Scope of Genesys International’s mapping services project
The project awarded to Genesys International consists of mapping services to enhance Saudi Arabia’s geospatial capabilities. The scope includes the creation of elevation models, digital form outputs, updating the buildings layer, enhancing the transport network, refining the hydrographic network, maintaining a comprehensive land cover database, and aligning these services with Saudi Arabia’s national geospatial platform.
Strategic expansion
In response to Saudi Arabia’s extensive infrastructure and urban planning endeavours, Genesys International has also established a subsidiary within the Kingdom. The move underscores the growing opportunities and commitments in the Saudi construction and development sector.
