The project calls for construction of Prince Abdulaziz Bin Mousaed Economic City in Hail. The city will cover 156 million square metres and will have 12 distinct components for trade and services in sectors such as agriculture and food processing, mining, education, housing, and entertainment. The developers aim to use the strategic location of Hail to build transportation infrastructure consisting of an international airport, a dry port, a supply chain center, and a multi-modal passenger station.
The agreement for dry port, passenger and cargo terminals was signed by Public Investment Fund (PIF), SAGIA and Al-Mal. Another agreement was signed between SAGIA, Manpower Development Fund and Cadre Economic Cities Company to train 10,000 men and women while other deals included the development of food and agricultural industries, establishing and international hotel, and building four residential and commercial towers.
Al-Mal Investment Company signed an agreement with Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA) to develop the economic city. Prince Abdulaziz Bin Mousaed Economic City will be built in phases; the city is expected to be completed by the end of 2022.
