The Pearl Qatar is a mega project located on a 4 million square metres artificial island. The development will accommodate more than 40,000 residents. The island is divided into districts: The Quartiers, Costa Malaz, Porto Arabia, Viva Bahriya, La Plage Villas, Bahri Villas, and Isola Dana. The project will include three 5-star luxury hotels with a total room capacity of 800, four marinas and retail space. The master plan of the Pearl shows buildings ranging from high-raise towers to 4-storey buildings and villas will cover the entire site. The project has a Mediterranean style from Spain and Middle East.
The project is under construction. Several contractors currently are working on construction of several towers and villas. Construction started in 2006. Project duration is five years.
