Work begins on BBH Group's Al Farahidi student homes in Oman
The 11-floor building in Rusayl will feature 256 one- and two-bedroom residential units offering a total of 500 rooms
The foundation stone has been laid for Muscat-based real estate investment firm BBH Group’s 11-floor student housing facility, the 5.4ha Al Farahidi Complex, located on the Muscat Expressway near Sultan Qaboos University in Rusayl.
In an Arabic-language post on its Instagram account, the company said: “HE Dr Abdullah Al-Sarimi, undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, laid the foundation stone of Al-Farahidi student city in the presence of Dr Khalid Al-Muta'ani, representative of BBH Group.”
According to Muscat Daily, al Mata’ani, in his capacity as chairman of BBH Group, said that with with the growing number of students, a housing complex such as Al Farahidi would bring “positive results in terms of academic achievement”.
Once developed, Al Farahidi Complex will feature 256 one- and two-bedroom residential units comprising a total of 500 rooms, in addition to a commercial centre, restaurants, cafés, and a library. The complex will also provide 1,000 parking spaces.
